I'm so excited to head back to Vegas on Friday for the Food Allergy Bloggers conference. I will be posting along the way about my experience as well as posting reviews of my finds. Some of my favorite brands and speakers will be present along with new brands I'm excited to meet. I'll also be keeping my eye out for special swag and special giveaways for when I return from the conference! I say go back because Mr. Charming and I just returned home from Vegas yesterday. We went to celebrate our three year wedding anniversary. We stayed at a timeshare resort off the strip called Club 36 by Blue Green. It was pretty nice, we had a full kitchen which made eating on the trip a breeze (though we did find some great, healthy finds.) and a view of the Eiffel Tower at Paris out our hotel window, which was beautiful at night. It's one of my favorite hotels because of my love for all things Parisian. We ate most of our meals in the room over the course of the three days. For breakfasts we made organic scrambled eggs with organic chicken sausage or gluten-free oatmeal with fresh fruit. And for lunches, turkey wraps made with coconut meat paleo wraps and stuffed with veggies to keep us full. Our anniversary was Wednesday night so we splurged and got Fleming's steak. I like going to the high end restaraunts because I feel they take much, much better care of ones needs. Which is why we eat at home 99.9% of the time, so when we splurge on high end steaks it all evens out. They cooked it without butter and pepper for me and it was amazing. We had it with broccoli and gluten-free pasta topped with dairy-free butter and it was heavenly. We exchanged cards and shopped a bit as our gifts to one another. After dinner we headed out to take a tour of the Neon Boneyard museum. If you havn't been I suggest you add it to your list of things to see and do in Vegas. We had a great time and it was so fun seeing all the old signs. If you've seen the movie National Lampoons Vegas Vacation you'd be familiar with some of the signs you'll see on the tour. It's how I found out about this place. The photo above is Mr. Charming and I with the old "R" from the Sahara sign, restored. We spent most of our vacation leisurely strolling the hotels and shopping but we did make it back to the Dolphin and White Tiger Habitat at the Mirage, which is always beautiful. We got to see the white baby tiger cubs and I fell in love a little. We also rode the gondola's this time at the Venetian, it was romantic and relaxing, and a good way to rest your feet after a long day of walking the Strip. My next post with be a special on "Eating Gluten Free & Dairy Free in Vegas" with some of the best eateries I found along the strip. Stay tuned!
