"There are some in this world who have strength on their own
Never broken or in need of repair But there are some born to shine who can't do it alone So protect them and take special care Take care" - Don't Forget Me, by the Cast of Smash I miss this show.

Hello, my darlings. This is officially my first post in the new year on this wonderful & lovely escape I lovingly call my blog. My goal for this year is health, renewal and inspiration. Living out my dreams and creating, alongside my Lord and Savior, the life I dream to live. Right now I'm praying on a lot of things and one thing I've been trying to do is carve out more "me" time and quiet time in our marriage, and my ultimate goal is to start seeing my body as something strong and capable, and not something that gets sick from food, or anxious from hormones. In truth, the beginning of this year was rough for me. I've fallen into some old issues, and whether it be from candida, hormones or something else, I have learned to try to turn my focus on healthy food, getting outside, bonding with loved ones, talking through stress and writing my heart out, all while clinging to God and remaining in constant prayer daily. Mr. Charming has been truly amazing. I am blessed beyond words to have married a man who is not only my best friend but my supporter. A godly man who knows what to say when I feel like I am weak or broken. I have tried to set some specific goals for fitness without putting to much pressure on myself as stress is what sometimes takes me over, I recently was promoted to a full time position with the international magazine I write for and I am officially a full time Chief Fashion Correspondent. I adore it, more than words, it is just A LOT of work, on top of managing the spa and going to school for my Creative Writing Certificate. My goals include furthering my yoga abilities and getting my body back to running. Mr. Charming, being as supportive as he is, suggested we go together to the Yoga Championships this weekend for motivation. Seriously, how can I NOT love him more than words?? I also have the goal to get back into the kitchen and make a ton of new recipes, but the fatigue and some other issues have held me back. I DO have some DELICIOUS new treats I've made since Christmas that I will be sharing soon.
It feels good to be back. I've missed you guys ;) |
