Thanksgiving was amazing! It was my first Thanksgiving since all of the food changes and I was a little nervous as to how all the get-togethers and meals would go, but it worked out so great and I;m so excited to create new holiday meals that can become a tradition in our family.
I think I was the only person who got fitter, healthier and lost weight this holiday season! :) My little sister, her fiance, and his mom along with my little niece baby Peyton, hosted for the first time and she did such a BEAUTIFUL job. The food was FANTASTIC, she even made me my own special custom foods because of my special food diet, turkey, garlic tossed green beans with olive oil, baked potato with soy-free, dairy-free butter and I made herb crusted sweet potato rounds and an almond crusted gluten free apple pie. (can you say best sister ever? love her.) and the table and house was beautiful! Peyton even had her very own thanksgiving dinner! She loved the sweet potatoes, wasn’t crazy about the turkey, and she really didn’t like the cranberry sauce. Making a pile to the side of the tray and using one of my green beans as a paintbrush in it. haha. Aw the innocence of a little one. After dinner we did family photos for Christmas cards! And then it was off to my husbands side of the family where another beautiful home was awaiting us for pie and black friday shopping plans at my husband’s cousin’s home. Amazing Thanksgiving, and have SO much to be Thankful for this year. Blessings to you all!
