So, I’ve never been a griller. When I lived alone my George Foreman grill was my best friend if I wanted meat. I could brown hamburger to throw in a jarred spaghetti sauce, but I lived in L.A., got take-out 90% of the time and kept my fridge minimally stocked with Trader Joe goods.
So, as Mr. Charming and I have been together over 5 years now, and married less than 1, I decided, tonight while he was at work that I would have my first attempt at making ribs. I, too, thought this was adventurous.. because to this day I still have never made a pork chop, or steak without my good friend George. My husband is the master chef in the kitchen, and what I’ve learned is once you have a real man grill you a steak, pressing meat between two hot pieces of metal for 7 minutes on each side will NEVER cut it again. I was weary at first because I detest raw meat, as I cut the ribs to place them in the pan it looked like a murder took place in my kitchen but once all was said and done and the ribs were happily cooking in the oven.. it was a success!! He loved them and I can say I tried something new.
