Celebrating Three

Today is a very special day. Not only is it a beautiful Sunday, it is the third birthday of my adorable niece whom I love more than words, Miss Peyton Abigail. This morning started with a lazy sleep in until nine and piping hot bowls of fruit-packed gluten free oatmeal with the ever gorgeous Mr. Charming.

After breakfast we hit the gym where I got in a nice little jog and Mr. Charming lifted weights.  We are such opposites at the gym.  haha.  I'm looking forward to getting new pilates and Praise Moves DVD's in the mail so we can work out together at home more.

After a good work-out we got ready to head to the park to celebrate with friends and family.  Three is such a fun age.  She had been waiting for her "birthday weekend" and got so into opening all of her wonderful gifts and blowing out her candles.  I adore this little girl more than words can express.

Mr. Charming & I got her a Princess Castle to play in.  The last time we were at my sisters, he built a fort out of chairs and blankets and she LOVED it.  She loved it!  We ended up putting it up at the park and I climbed inside to play with her.  It was quite warm in there, as we've been having 80 degree + days in March, but she assured me that "I'd be safe" in there with her.  I swear, she's just too cute for words.

It was such an amazing, refreshing and rejuvenating day.  Soaking up the sun, I enjoyed my healthy lunch I packed of sweet potato chips, organic turkey and fresh avocado.  I forgot how fun it could be to swing on swings, play in the sand and play kick ball.  After the park we headed to bible study where a new friend joined us and we stayed late for game night.  Overall, it was a beautiful, blessed Sunday full of new memories and a renewal for the soul that only getting in touch with your inner child can bring.  I highly recommend it!

about

Nosh & Nurture was born of this journey I am on to better the health of myself, my family and those around me.  What started as a simple compilation of recipes has grown to a all-around lifestyle journal with ways to incorporate organic products into your home, pantry and beauty cabinet.  I also include stories on pregnancy, new motherhood, travel, Proverbs 31 marriage, and spiritual health, as I am a Christian who couldn't do any of this without my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. For more of my story you can click here.

All recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free with a lot of soy-free, grain-free, sugar-free options.
