Avocado & coconut hair mask

For some time now I've been wanting to try out a hair mask. Something that would give my hair more bounce, or luster, or shine. Something. Ultimately I would like to find a way for my hair to actually GROW. It seems to grow at a snail's pace, however, if we are being honest I spent years and years processing it with color and heat making my poor little head of hair rebel against me.

Since changing to all organic, PPD-free and ammonia-free hair dye (hello brown beauty!) and using an organic, chemical free shampoo I have noticed great change in my hair. It is no longer brittle and dry, it styles much easier, and though I had to kiss my platinum blonde locks goodbye for a while, it was a nice compromise for a healthier body, and healthier body in my hair. Read on for the review of the hair mask I tried last week.
There are many different natural hair masks you can try, from citrus to egg, mayo to honey... different substances deliver different results.

I chose:

1 Tsp Honey
2 Tbsp. warmed coconut oil
1/2 of an avocado, mashed.

The original mix I found called for Olive Oil, however, I have light, fine hair and olive oil doesn't work well with my texture.

Prepare:
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mash.
Apply to hair. (I suggest spritzing your hair with water before applying to help the mask adhere better to hair, also APPLY over a sink or standing on a towel, the avocado can get messy!)
Allow to sit for 15 minutes, then shampoo and rinse as you normally would.

My hair is normally pretty lifeless and flat unless I use a blow dryer before my flat iron, after doing the mask I was presently surprised at the amount of "oomph" my hair had without having to blow dry.
